i know that obx makes interior stuff, but i have seen on ebay that they are selling obx headers, mufflers and cam gear??? anyone heard or know anything about this??? here is what i am talking about…
maybe i’m drinking too much or just confused?!?!?! can anyone help??
obx makes a ton of stuff. i think their main imitations are off of DC Sports. I got obx pedals =O) that’s about it. They’re really good… as good as pedals can get I guess, lol.
i get the impression obx is pretty decent too. best of the lower end brands, but actually has quality
OBX has good strut bars.
I got a obx bar once, front strut bar, it was REAL fat and good quality, though it didn’t fit in my 93 teg, i’m sure if it did, it would be pretty good. Looks exactly like the DC strut bar too.

Anything Spoon makes is the sh*t! But seriously… a lot of guys here don’t have the coin for Spoon stuff… OBX does makes descent stuff… obviously not top of the line, but by far, one of the best bangs for the buck.

that’s a very uninformed comment. if you want to pay 3 times more for a spoon bar so you can have the japanese made “shiz” that’s cool, but have you personally compared the stiffness of the two? for an ABS teg, the OBX strut bar is actually very solid and 40 bucks. i have felt Dan’s (g2guru’s) and Rob’s (dumluck) and it was solid as a rock.

Tell that to Dan, who has an OBX bar on his car. It’s widely regarded by respected tuners on this board that the OBX front strut bar is good.
like i said…that is my opinion, and im sure it is not shared by everyone.
yes my friends and i have compared the two, and we all much prefer the spoon strut bar. there is no way that onyone can convince me that the OBX bar even compares…and i know i cant convince you that spoon is worth the $$$…and i dont want to…this is just MY opinion…and for those of you that i have offended i am sorry…but i do stand by what i belive…late

WORD-UP, Big T! :getsome:
Besides, 92GSR witnessed how we also installed new shocks, new short shifter, and new bushings on my car at the same time as the OBX strut bar, for just a fraction of the money I saved going with the OBX instead of Spoon… Hmmm what else to buy with the money I saved…

That’s too bad that you don’t want to; 'cuz Dan and I are not all that far off from you, and I, for one, would love to take my OBX strutbar through the turns against your spoon bar… 
Not offended, though; Spoon products are world-class.
Its just that this thread was not asking for a review of Spoon products but rather OBX. Just my .02.

No doubt; Dan has invested money, effort, and skill into his G2 to a degree that most kids can’t begin to fathom, so you know he didn’t choose the OBX strut bar because he’s cheap or because he is inexperienced or uninformed re the other options.
Oh, and if you don’t know Dan and his G2… you just better ask somebody. :burnout: hehe

I just react when new people have honest questions about quality v. price and others jump on them without saying anything constructive. Like the anti-Chikara debate - it doesn’t help the person researching headers to just say Chikara’s are sh!te and then shame the newby into buying DC’s. They need to know the objective differences… yah?

i just posted this thread to see if anyone had any opinions on obx’s other stuff, not to make people mad at each other. i am just a broke college student living on my own and i don’t have massive money to buy some of the top end performance parts that some of the people on this board do. but soon hopefully, when i get out of college (who knows when that will be), i will be able to afford some more some nice stuff. i am just trying to see what i can get to make my car better with for what little money i have… most of my modifications weren’t too expensive, but now i am getting into the more expensive stuff. most of the stuff i have done so far has cost me around $200 a piece for the modifications, even my paint job (i am sooo glad i can paint o.k.) all i saw was some cheap headers and such and was wondering if anyone knew anything about them??? but thanks for your responses…
