i want one, it’s on my list of things to get, but i have transmission issues abreast right now so that takes 1st place
Da_all_day I’d go with a 1400 minimum. Anything bigger is just going to be up to you. They run $260.
Integra_hot: I’ve been there and done that. After getting my alternator in and picking up 6 group 31 batteries, drove to Daytona to sell 4 of those batteries and on the way back pilot bearing went out. Since I was stuck in Daytona $575 later I was back on the road.
That is a good deal for a 170 amp… I got one and I love it. Worth every penny IMO.
so i hooked up my whole system on the regular sized battery and no matter what i do, voltage stays constant. even with the sub on high settings and doing the boom boom boom thing. lights dont dim or anything.
i like it.
it sucks when i put my odyssey i will either have to unhook it all, get that alternator, or get a bigger odyssey and put it in the trunk. i want to test and see what will happen with all of it hooked up with the odyssey. i wonder…
Voltage stays constant? Constant at what? Anything below 12.8v that amp is going to be clipping and that’s not going to be good for the coil on that sub. You’ll begin to smell burning glue and then sub will suddenly not work later.
I guess i should of used a different word. I say voltage stays constant in the sense that nothing fluctuates when everything is on and working.
I’ll put an actual voltmeter on it and see what it says.
You should use that same dmm (set to ac volts) and depending on how many watts rms your sub can handle. I can tell you how many volts should be coming out of the output side. To avoid any overdriving of the amp (when it clips)
