what do these mean?
oem = original equipment manufacturer (i.e. honda or acura…take your pick)
aem= a brand of aftermarket performance products
I’ve been wondering about those myself.
What about JDM? and ITR?
hmm, what else are there?

jdm = “japanese domestic market”
usdm = “united states domestic market”
these pretty much just mean where they were put out. for example. the stock headlights we have here in the US are usdm lights. in japan tegs came with plastic one piece headlights… thats why they are refered to as “jdm one piece headlights”
itr = “integra type r”
ctr = “civic type r”
Cool. Thanks.
thanks
DA
also what does DA mean, i hear people use it when they talk about CRX’s, and g2’s.
aem=advanced engine management
jdm=japanese domestic market
oem=original equipment manufactured

well, they shouldn’t be referring to a crx as a DA, because its not.
DA is a part of our VIN. for example: JH4DA936… The DA just refers to what type of car or what specific model it is, it sorta depends the car. For example the 90-93 rs/ls/gs tegs are DA. The usdm cars are DA9, the jdm ones are DA6. However the usdm 92-93 gsr’s are DB. I think the sedan’s are also DB, but i could be wrong about that. Some other examples are EF, EK, and DC (civic, civic, and G3 integra respectively). someone else can help you out with the specific years if need be.
