OEM B Series Vtec Camshafts

Everywhere I read on the internet, people are pretty clear on the differences between b16, GSR, CTR, and ITR cams but what wasn’t clear was the question I have. Which is, is there a difference between 94-95 b18c1 cams vs 96-01 b18c1 cams?

On different forums, I would see two different camshafts being identified as 94+ b18c1 GSR cams.

I have two sets of camshafts that are in question. The first set came in my GSR head that I got to use in my LSV build.

The other set came from my brothers GSR motor.

To the best of my knowledge, both of these cams are OEM b18c1 GSR cams. I would like to know if there is indeed two different b18c1 GSR cams and if these two variants that I have are indeed them. I know someone out there has to know this…

Look up the camshaft part numbers (for each generation) and see if they’re the same.

They’re the same part number from Acura… I don’t know whether they’re marked differently or not. I would assume not.

That’s strange they would have the same part number, they clearly have differences.

Yeah, this is weird. I have seen pics of my first cam on different threads saying that itis a b18c1 cam and I have also seen pics of my second cam saying the exact same thing…

i thought the one with the 3 lines was a type r camshaft?
