OEM rack removal?

Does anyone know how to remove the optional OEM bike racks off a 91 gs?
I want to remove mine and i want to get a good basis on how to start, thanks

i have no idea…but id love to see pics of the OEM rack

We have optional oem bike racks on our cars? Never heard of them… pics or you’re smoking crack!

+1 agreed

this is news to me PICS!

I think someone installed it before you bought the car and you thought it was oem?

Either way… I think you’re smoking crack with your lil sister  Pics man… PICS asap!

Someone told me they were OEM so i just assumed but ill let you guys be the judges

the optional ones were made by thule if my information is/was correct.

That’s something new to me.

Anyways… too remove that, you would need a key to that lock. The lock is what locks the clamp onto your car. If you don’t have a key… it shouldn’t be too hard to pick it or just bring it to a lock smith.

wow, they look like the same ones my bro had on his 91 legend. but we didn’t put it on. it also has that clear sticker thing to protect the paint underneath the rack’s base. interesting.

u sir are correct, i was your information ill see if i still have that pic advertising it

if they’re OEM then go to an acura dealer and see if you can get a key from them, if not i’m sure if you have the part number on the rack you can get one from thule if it is made from them…

They are OEM, here’s a pic I found in the DB1 thread:

is that a bike rack or a ski?snowboard rack? are you going to sell it ?

its an “anything rack.” u can put attachments that hold different things, like a ski attachment to hold multiple pairs of skis, then there’s the bike rack that obviously holds a bike, then there’s the surfboard rack, the snowboard rack. u shouldn’t be putting stuff straight onto the load bars, cuz it wouldn’t be secure, that is why there are attachments so u can safely and securely transport stuff.

daaaannnnnngggggg, look at that wheel gap lol
