well, i’m in the market for some new floormats, fuckin black and blue NOS mats ain’t cuttin it anymore so i decided to start lookin for some decent mats. anyway, i found this company on eBay that makes custom floormats that are shaped, cut etc. EXACTLY like the original OEM floormats. they have several options as well, as far as what color you want the carpeted material and what color you want the embroidered integra logo to be (sucks cuz it costs $12 more but if these things are nice i’d pay for em) anyway, has anyone here bought these:
if anyone here has bought them, do they fit well, look good etc. if so then i found something to buy this week. thanks alot. IMHO i think they look quite nice.
i agree, finding real oem mats in decent enough shape to actually sport in the car is nearly as impossible as finding a REAL mugen body kit. i believe i will pick these up, and at least until i get the “cowl leak” fixed, i’ll only put em in when i take it to meets, and car shows etc (not lookin good enough to enter, then again, this isn’t a show car its meant for the street while also being track ready for autocross next year) i might buy two sets one to only put in for when i take it to shows, and one to put in and keep when i get the cowl leak fixed. the ones for shows will never be used while driving. in fact, i’ll have a buddy keep em on the back seat of his car and when i get to the show and park, i’ll swap em out so the look absolutely MINT! its f-ing genius i tell ya!!! :
I posted the same mats about a week and a half ago. I ordered them. They should be here any day now. I will let you know how good they are when they get here.
Is this just for the front two or the entire set? I’m highly interested in these, let me know if you have them and the quality of them. I’m going to do the same, use them for show or mild weather only.
I use MINI Cooper rubber mats in the front during wet/snow weather, they fit almost perfect.
i’m pretty sure its just the front but i’ll email the seller, i’m gonna order em soon as i can get a few bucks. i’ve emailed other people who have ordered integra mats (checked sellers feedback and looked for people that bought 90-93 teg mats) and asked them how well they fit and if they were nice, ALL said they fit PERFECT and were obscenenly high quality so i’m gonna invest in a couple sets. i didn’t ask if it was front AND rear though. i’ll just email the seller. i’ll get back to you guys in a bit.
I’d be VERY leary of anything with the world “Style” in the topic on e-bay. Would you order “JDM Style” coilovers off ebay for your car? Honestly floormats seem to be one of those things that are hard to find a “good quality” make of…The ones that I KNOW are good, also have a premium price.
I hate to be pestimistic, but I’m willing to be those are cheaper quality mats (that’ll curl and not stay in place) and just have “Integra” embroidered in place. First of all, if they were custom for your car, they’d contain the gromet near the bottom driver side like the OEM mats do so that they clip around that little “knob” below the driver side seat, like the OEM mats do…
Ionno, i’m a little leary in this situation, but let us know how they work out regardless.
I have a set of OEM mats, they came sealed in the box from Acura (got them on eBay) for my 91 2 door and they don’t have this grommet that you’re talking about…
Hmm that’s odd, cuase my GF’s 92 GS-R has OEM floormats in it and they have the gromet exactly where I described that sits overtop of that little knob by the driver side seat…
Just an update if anyone is interested. I just got the floor mats today from this seller. I’ll try and upload some pics later if you guys want me to and let you know how they fit.
The quality is great!!! They are really plush. I never had floor mats in my car so I can’t really lay them on top of the OEM mats to check but they fit really well. They aren’t some cheap ass mats with Integra stitched in them. Considering there isn’t anything out there right now that offers the stitching and the fitment and quality there is no reason everyone shouldn’t jump on this. I am probably going to order another set. I have school and work all day so I will try and take some pics tonight.
The only thing bad was that you have to wait about 2 weeks before they arrive. About 4 days for the factory to make them and about 5 days for shipping. The seller is great though and he responds very quickly.
I’ve ran my fingers through it and nothing really came out not even any fuzz really. I’m telling you it’s high quality carpeting. Really the best I’ve seen even on some OEM mats for other car manufacturers. Like I said earlier though I never have had OEM mats so I can’t really compare but these are great.
To be honest I dont know. I didn’t ask. They are made direct from the factory so I would think he would let you get whatever you want, you may have to pay more, depending on what you want. It’s definately worth it though. He’s a great seller so hopefully he will let you, either way its a good deal.
I am probably going to order another set, just in case he ever stops selling them I can have another set. Except this time I might get red stitching around the edge.
I have a 92 with the stock floormats and they don’t have this thing maybe its a GSR thing.
Anyways, they look great i think i am definetly going to be getting some thanks for the pics.
