you can do the hose your self it does take time to put all the fittings in, justi think its one of the most time consuming

i took out the headlight to see how i was going to route the lines, u dont really need to but ii learned that too late, well i hide my wiring so that was good , this is for a DA integra

drill a hole to hold the oil cooler

mount the cooler

make sure uyou use teflon tape to prevent any leaks, and do not put it right next to the tip of the treads because it can go in to your system at least 2 treads back and your cool

make sure you tighten them i used a 23mm socket

once you mount the oil cooler you might have a problem making the lines fit, i dint want it to rub the part of the structure of the car , just incase vibration or anything may break the line so what i did was…

fold her back and your cool

this is how the lines come out when oil cooler install the lines are appx. 1 foot long

then make some more 2 lines appx 3 1/2 foot long

put all the an to npt adpater on the thermostat

it should hold like that

next put the 90 degree fittings on the sandwich first remember teflon tape!

then un-screw your oil filter
and you should see this

just wondering… can the stock oil pump push oil thru all those lines?

well my oil pump was pushing plenty of oil through them at a high pressure so youir good to go, i have a 50k b18b appx when i installed it last year so maybe i will get a better oil pump than older engines

Nice write up I also wonderd about doing this with my last da.

thanks dude

An alternative to all the earls plumbing is brass fittings at your local hardware store. Last time I put an oil cooler on my previous teg I went that route cuz the earls is rediculously expensive. $300 just in fittings! compared to the $15 I spent at home depot for the brass fittings. I also used high temp/pressure rubber hose from a specialty hydraulics store.

I forget all the pieces I used, but it worked well. I also relocated my oil filter to the firewall to make things easier on me when I changed the oil. I think I got majority from summit and the cooler (smaller than the one u used) from some race place online.
