some one please help this guy out!! and for the vtec engine guru’s i have the same problem!! except my leak is right under the vtec solenoid!! is that bad?? and is it easy to replace!!
sorry Russ for whoring yer thread!!
its so easy for the non vtec (its should be same for vtec tho)
all u do i buy another cam end plug. i hear the the STR or 96+gsr cuz both have 3 rubber rubber seals in it. but those are expensive($30 ±) so i just got a cheap one.
u take off the valve cover and pull it out with ur hand or pliers if its stuck then u take the new on and put RTV sealant around the new plug and stick it back in. then put the valve cover back on.
ur done

real easy too…there is a gasket behind the Vtec solenoid assembly…just take off the 4 bolts or so on the solenoid assembly…and there is a rubber gasket with a screen in the middle…shouldn’t cost more the $10 or something like that and take you about 20 mins to change…good luck…but if its not that gasket it might be the cam end plug
