oil light blinking / seatbelt light stays on

just got an oil change and replaced the oil pressure piece, but oil light keeps blinking…how do you fix this?

also, seatbelt light used to go off when the auto belt stopped moving…now it just stays on…how do you fix this?

the oil light is blinking because the sender is not putting out a signal at all, or the wire has fallen off

are you sure? can you give me the steps and exactly how to fix it? I take my car to a garage for repairs and mods.

The oil light is either blinking because:

  1. oil pressure sending unit is fault
  2. ICU is faulty
  3. You have low or no oil pressure (VERY DANGEROUS)

First of all, is it ALWAYS on? I had a bad ICU once that caused my light to be on all the time, sometimes dim, sometimes flashing. Pressure was fine. In the LEAST make sure you have pressure or you’ll be in a world of hurt real fast.

had oil pressure sender replaced with new one

pressure was checked with recent oil change and is fine

oil light is dim sometimes, solid sometimes, and blinking sometimes - consistantly

what is the ICU and how do I get to it, how do I fix it, or how do I replace it?

The ICU is the fuse box relay, it’s a little gray box on the backside of the fuse box. You can fix it like that thread describes or just try to pick one up on here or from the junkyard.
