wassup g2 i have a question to remove the oil pan do we have to take off the exhaust pipe and the crossmember bar i believe its called to drop the oil pan or can we just get the pan off with out doing all that stuff??..
and another question how low does the Moroso oil pan sit because i have one but im debating if i should put that one in or just buy another oem …btw my car is lowered
The 4qt Moroso isn’t much taller than stock… but the 5qt is noticeably bigger.
As far as pan removal… yes the header (or lower-half, if a two piece unit) needs to be removed. I didn’t have to remove my crossmember, I just let the manifold hang down enough to remove the pan.
It sucks to work around the header that way, but I didn’t feel like messing with the crossmember.
Remember to loosen the nuts/bolts in the correct order (reverse of install pattern)… and install/torque correctly, etc etc… same as anything else, really. Good luck.
okk sounds good i have the moroso but i dont remember if i got the 5qt or the 4qt its been sitting in my room for so long…lol im worried about the pan scraping…oh well ok thanks for the info maybe ill post a pic
