Oil pressure priming slow ?

Not sure what else to call it, but how long should it normally take after cranking the engine for oil pressure to start reading? At a cold engine start, mine takes (at maximum) 3 full seconds after the engine fires before the oil light goes off, or when I see oil pressure build up on the gauge (just installed). After pressure reads on the gauge, it goes right up to 80 PSI in about 2 seconds.

With a warm engine, the oil light goes off less than a second after the engine fires.

I’m just paranoid that 3 seconds is too long for pressure to build.

what viscosity oil? cold oil is going to flow slower

It’s 5w -30 Mobil 1. Sits overnight in a garage that doesn’t get below 65 degrees.
