Oil Pressure the easy way.

Okay so Ive been looking for a easy way to hook up my oil press gauge besides fooling with a 15 something yr old sensor.
Didn’t really know where to post this so i guess ill try it here.
I was browsing the internet when i stubbled across a Greddy Oil Filter adapter. It’s a simple block of aluminum machined with two fittings and a threaded shaft thingy holding the oil filter and the aluminum plate (along with any hoses tapped into it) onto the block.
I plan on using the oil filter adapter, stainless braided line, and a variety of fitting adapters to install the oil press. sending unit remotely on the firewall. My question is: What do i use on the AN fittings to make sure they seal (like white plumbing tape?) and is there any durablity issues with this setup? Like maybe the adapter coming loose etc… i dont want to have my oil press. die while driving down the road.

yes it works but dony need to buy greddy

blox,ge, tons of company make it

serach oil sandwitch adapter

rather than use plumbing tape, use a thread sealant that comes out of a tube. I know permatex makes it because i used it on my build. i had heard people say that little pieces of the tape could pull off and possibly clog whatever the oil is running through

would u be able to use this part for ls vtec instead of tapping the block for it?

Yup I had this problem once, it’s not fun when all of a sudden your oil pressure goes to zero. I have my oil pressure sensor mounted to a earl fitting on the head from where the LS/V oil line goes. This way I can see the pressure is good through the line.

yes you could possibly use it for a ls/vtec or turbo feed and oil press. gauge b/c it has two outputs. I dunno the blox one didnt look like it flowed as good in the picture (i.e. instead of having basically three spokes (greddy) the blox has somewhat small holes).

I was thinking hondabond for the AN fittings

hondabond is a silicon liquid gasket. thats not the same as a thread sealant. like i already said, go with permatex thread sealant, its made for applications such as oil lines

dont use teflon tape or any other type of tape, you need something thats meant for oil lines and things of that sort, i work with hydraulics and have seen alot of cash dumped into replaceing things because of teflon tape

this is basicly what you need, its cheap stuff and works great

its what we use on the smaller systems we service, for a motor that only push’s 70psi max it’ll be perfectly fine

yeah once again definetley dont use teflon tape. it clogged oil passages in my block and killed my ls vtec in 20 miles.
