Ight i asked this before and sorry but still just a lil unsure of what i wanna swap with. When i asked many people brought out the idea of B20’s and B16’s. Well i’ve done a lil research but would think that personal opinions from you guys would help me out best. What do you think would be a better swap??? B16 or B20? I’m looking to put aftermarket bolt-on’s in and would also like to add a turbo. Thanks for any replies… also could you put down any project hp and torque that i might get outta both swaps? thanks
I think the biggest decision maker is where you live and how you like to drive. I have a b20. I chose it because I live right next to the cascade mountians here in Oregon and I have an hour comute to work that involves a lot of twisty mountain roads. A b16 will not take me up a hill like it aint no thang. If you live some were relatively flat and have a lot of straight stretches, I would go with a b16 because those can be really fast. But I could never climb hills in a 3000 pound car with a b16 the way I do with my b20.
b16 has like 160 hp and 111 torque
b20 has like 146 hp and 150 torque???
I could never find straight figures for the b20. All I know is that its not to much a difference in hp but the tq is really fun.
