Omnipower Coilovers or Tokico Blues w/ Sportlines

Does anyone know how good the Omnipower coilovers are, i didn’t know for sure but i’m debating on those or Tokico Blues w/ Sportlines? Does anyone have the omnipower setup or Blue setup, let me know what u guys think with over quality on both? Also the ones easyiest to install?

i recommend the full coilover setup over the “mix and match” setup just because the springs settings were made specifically for the strut. i am pretty sure you will be more please with the omni’s… the thing you should ask yourself is which spring rate you want with the omni’s… street or sport… and that will be self preference! GL with that. Suspension is the best upgrade you can do to your car:)

I’ve not driven on either combination, so I cannot tell you my thoughts specific to ride quality.

I have heard, however, that Tokico Blues will not handle the drop of Sportlines for any prolonged amount of time. I believe the Blues will fail quickly at that drop level.

My recommendation is definitely to go with the Omnis. They’ve gotten rave reviews from the few members that have installed them, and you’re getting a setup that’s designed from the ground up to work together (springs and dampers) for the greatest performance possible.

Good luck with your suspension; let us know how it turns out.

actually i’ve had the tociko blues with the sportline springs for more than a year they ride great, pretty nice drop and don’t bottom out that often. my dads got the same exact setup at well and he’s had them for over 2 years. the blues can handle anything under 2 inches and a little over. this is just my experience. i too would actually choose the adjustables because people have said good things about them and being able to adjust ur ride height is a great thing.

92whtGSR,

Good to know man… I’ve been hearing some things about the blues being good for VERY mild drops, but not so much for more significant drops. Good to know they seem to be holding up for you and your dad

SpoonTeg,

When you mean instead of mix and matching, get the whole set-up at Omnipower? Or you mean get the coilovers? Thanks man I know what you mean’t.

Hmm… who’s sexy coilovers are those in that pic? :ok:

I’ve had the Tokico’s before I put in the Omni’s… don’t waste your time with the Tokico’s. They only handle a 1.5’’ drop which isn’t enough for me. I was riding on 2’’ and both the fronts were blown, the rears were starting to squeek so they were on their way also. The Tokico’s bounced like crazy even mated with Tokico’s own suspension package, Tokico springs. I’ve ridden in a teg with cut springs and Tokico blues and they were nothing different from mine even before being blown.

The Omni’s are for someone that has a daily driver and wants that sport feel to it. That is really all I can say beside what I have said in my install guide. Ride quality is so subjective you can’t tell people what they want to hear.

screw what everyone else thinks about how your car rides, you’re the one driving it and if you like it thats all that matters. and like Gray, i have the omnis too and i love my ride over the sloppy stock suspension. i dont even notice bumps anymore and neither does my wife. i give omnis   for daily driving.

There is a HUGE difference between the Omni’s and the Blue’s. The obvious answer to which one is better is the Omnipower coilovers.

I have Tokico Blues with H&R Race springs which turns out to be 2" drop in the front and 2.25" rear. I’ve had them for 2 years/35k miles. No noises, no sagging, no bouncy-bounce, and i corner pretty hard on them too.
I did my monthy suspension check on my car yesterday and they are still perfect…so from personal experiance, i know Blues can handle a 2" drop.

those omni’s on the other hand look pretty sexy…how much do those go for?

$650 for the whole set-up, at kteller.com, That’s what i’m getting.

I got the omnis 1 month ago the sport package 12/10k and i love them. My car is soo damn stiff you can barely push it with your hands down or side to side. The car handles amazingly. There is no bodyroll, and it turns extremely well I went to the canyons and i was impressed by how well it handled. My friend with an ek and tien coil overs said my car handle alot better than his. The ride is kinda bumpy, and now there are a bunch of squeeks because its so stiff, but i dont mind. Freeway driving kinda sucks ebcause when you go over a bump you kinda jump out of your seat. Im dropped all the way in the front, and the back is even with it. I only have good things to say about this set up and for $599 i cant complain… if u have any questions just ask.

That’s not bad…i thought it would be more.
The Blues and H&R’s cost me $400 from ebay. then another $200 for an allignment and a “Real” camber kit that doesn’t break in a month.

Good luck with whatever you decide to go with…you’ll like either more than stock for sure!

so whats the most miles anyones put on the omni’s?

i think i have 700miles on mine

gotta be lovin that!

right now i have the tokico HP shocks with NUESPEED Race springs (2’’). i’ve had this set up for like 4 months. im already in the market for a good price on omnipower sport coilovers. i want the adjustability, and im hoping it’ll handle a little better.

I’m on about 400 miles now.

has anyone tried the kyb shocks? how do those stand up? from what it sounds like tho the coilover is the way to go

I think after this forum i will get the Omni, i’ve heard good things to :run:
