I just had a quick question for you guys…I currently have my car on jack stands and I wanted to feel how the new clutch felt… So I put it in gear and only the passenger wheel spins… I know that I dont have LSD but is it normal that only one wheel spins without a load on either? The passenger wheel can be turned easily by hand and the drivers wheel is a bit difficult but still can be done by hand aswell… Any help would be appreciated…
Both my wheels spun on my open diff when I did the same thing. Even with an open diff, with no resistence, like when the front end is jacked up, both wheels should spin. You might have a brake pad dragging or a worn wheel bearing on the drivers side. The wheels should spin by hand with the same effort, or something is causing the resistence.
There is also the very slim possibility that the C-clip on the end of the axle isn’t seated securely into the intermediate shaft. But if the C-clip isn’t installed correctly, you will know it as soon as you test drive it.
