one-peices look brand new for $20!!!

I bought the $20 headlight restoration kit from advanced and used it today. I was skeptical at first at the quality, but I can say now, that I am IMPRESSED. I have never seen my one-pieces look this good! Its even better than when I cleared them myself a few years ago! Supposedly the sealer that is applied on the last step is “permanent.” I highly doubt its permanent, but if it lasts a few years and still looks good, then I will be happy whether if fades or not… $20 for some AMAZING one-pieces is a price i will pay!

After on Left, and Before on Right.

theres no pics, so no care

its up

yea i bought the same kit its made by 3M. They seel it at some parts stores and Walmart. Its like $20. Works great havent washed my car in like 3 weeks and still looks good. I go over with the polish just incase everytime I wash the car. Still look great.

:cool:headlights look mint

do u think air filters are over rated and thats y u dont have one on your intake?

lol, just messin im sure the car is being fixed up

Looks good. I just took a buffer to mine yesterday using some scratch & swirl remover from chemical guys. They looked great in about 2 minutes. I think i’m actually gonna have my friend wet sand them and shoot them with some clear at their body shop. With the UV protection in the clear I think they should stop hazing up.

maaaannn, i thought you found an ad for one pieces for $20. lol

i actually took it off, to have some more room to unplug the lights… lol

i sanded them down before too, but it doesn’t last… I think the clear coat thing is a good option too, but I haven’t tried it…

lol, i was wondering how many people would think that… haha

Is this Maquires or 3M, i only see the Maquires around here?

3M is what we have around here ill find a link and put it up for you.

actually the one i used, isn’t either of those. Its in a shiny silver package at advanced auto and it was called Crystal View.

I would think that either of those two products would be just as good tho

lol, i used that sometime last year, boy did it make a difference.
I also used it to polish some gsr blades and the lip on my enkei racing S.
The polishing compound and drill accessories work wonders for 20 bucks.

i saw a similar kit at orchard supply and i didnt get it . i got just the regular plastic polish and rubing compound . and after 2 hours on my wifes truck i noticed a big difference in the hazy and dull look to the lights , oh her truck is a 95 suburban . so if you have seen those models you know how bad the lights can get . so next time im doing the drill kit that you guys mentioned .

im going to go buy this tomorrow.

The Crystal View one is the best, hands down.

couldnt find the 3m brand at autozone so i ended up buying the turtle brand. finished them today and they turned out great. no before and after pics though… my cell camera isnt all that great…

I used tape. I still have a few more parts to attack though.

what do you mean by “I used tape?” did you paint the inside of your lights black?

I think he means he put tape on the fender and bumper so it wouldnt scuff the paint. Correct me if im wrong.
