Hey guys, so I need your help. I recently got one pieces and when I installed them, I noticed the driver side fog light was a lot dimmer than the passenger side. At first I thought it was just the bulb because I had to crimp on the bullet connectors. I thought I just didn’t do a good enough crimp so I took the bulbs out and put in the old H3 bulbs from my OEM three piece headlights that I knew worked perfectly and the driver side was still dimmer. Then I immediately thought it was the wiring for the fogs. Maybe one of the connectors was loose or something so I double checked everything and it all looked to be in order. Just to make sure though, I connected the driver side H3 bulb directly to my battery to make sure the connections weren’t the problem and it was still dimmer than the passenger side. Now I’m stumped. Could it be that the housing for the driver side fog light is dirty? Or there’s something wrong with the reflector? Either way, how could I check those things? I’ll post a picture of how dim it is compared to the passenger side
it’s likely a poor ground. the bulb actually grounds through the housing. pull off the foglight access cover and have a look inside. you’ll see what i’m talking about. you’ll see the corrosion. it’s very common
