Ok so I’m new to this forum, I’m from H-T, but I wasn’t really getting any replies from them so I wanted to try G2IC. So as I was installing the one piece headlights I just bought. I noticed that the fog lights wires were both different, both left and right side.
Here are the pictures:

Right:
Can anyone help me? Oh and also I didn’t get the harness for the fogs, but do you think I can rewire them with the USDM foglight harness?
The stock, [USDM] fog light wiring is the same for both sides, the pos.(+) is red/black from the fog light relay, it splits into two red/black leads one for left the other for the right, they change to red/blue at the fog light bulb holder harness, and black is ground.
There is no reason you can’t wire them to the JDM fog lights.:squint:94

Well, as you can see both wires that connects to the bulbs are different, is there anyway I can fix that?
Could I use the USDM harness/relay for the JDM fogs? Due to me not getting the other piece to connect them together, and I’m wondering if I can just switch them and wonder if they would work?:tsk:

I didn’t know how to edit, but here’s a quick question. Are the wiring for the fogs suppose to be different like that? As you can see in the pictures.
I am also not sure what I can see, and do not know what you mean by different.
I think I see what appears to be a plug, [black rectangular thing] in the first pix and in the second pix I see a handful of wire, if that is what you mean by different, then no, they should not be like that.
I assume the “plug” and the wires go to the fog light bulb holder, if so can you remove the bulb holders and take a pix of them?
Yes you can use the USDM harness and relay for the fog lights, however you may not be able to use the USDM bulb holder.:hmm: 94
Yeah that’s what I meant by different sorry for not being so clear on this, I’m just frustrated from this.
So like you said, using the USDM harness and relay should be able to work. I’ve tried it and still it doesn’t work. I also bought new light bulbs for it.
As much as I hate Password JDM, you should invest in their plug n’ play harness for 1 pieces. I did all the splicing and converting myself the first time around. This time, I’m copping a harness.
hes asking how do you take the fog light bulb itself out of the 1 peice headlight. He wants to take the fog bubls out. Of course you can take it out, Ive done this but i had a DA long time ago not sure how the back looks but it’s hard as hell to get out. I wired mines up to the usdm wire just simple splicing. Be sure to get some of those lil wire tubes so you can put the spliced wires in so it doesnt come out looking shitty.
As for that rectangular tube, plug thing, Im sure i you took it off by the root of it the red and black wires are somewhere inside that tube. People try to make there own plug and play harness’ but that one looks crappy just take it off get to the wires and splice them up. Take the rectangular thing and stomp on it jump on it call the person you get it from back tell him he’s a moron.
just found out that black rectangular thing is stock for the da headlights…not sure about the jdm ones though…just seen that thing on my mines when i open the fogs on the usdm’s
Thanks Nesk, but do you know anything about the Japanese headlights? are they suppose to be the same as the US? Help me please. I’m still trying to figure out things and still not getting any answers :read:
