one piece issue

Sup guys…I just recently got a pair of 1pc’s and for sum reason the passenger side one doesn’t sit flush near tha fender…wut causes this and how do I fix it?

This can be anything that isn’t aligned properly on the front end of your car. Off kilter core support. Improperly aligned fender. Or even a slightly bent frame. Has your car ever been in a front end collision?

The best way to fix this is to remove and realign the body panels on your car. The fender may look right, but the other panels and bumper/hood/door may be adjusted to compensate. I’ve seen it countless times on countless different cars. You will start with one but once it’s where it should be the others may look off. Be warned, trying to fix ALL of your body lines until they are back to oem spec can take several hours.

Hmm…iight…in terms of collision…not that I kno of…it was my auntys b4 she went to tha philippines…but ill try taking off tha panels 1st…thanks

check the tabs just behind the corner light. it is simple but ithappened to me the first time I installed them. there should be a round peg on the lights and I round hole for the corner light.

Check that before you take off all of your body panels.

Err right, sorry I assumed that since he had the driver’s side aligned properly he knew about that. Definitely check to make sure you have it pushed through though before you fuck with your panels. I can’t stress enough how much of a PITA the body panels can be.

That little peg thing is missing…I’m guessn tha previous owner snapt it or sum…wut can I do?

You can fab a replacement and meld it into the plastic. I’ve never done it, and I’ve never bonded plastic without the use of hardcore glues, so I won’t be of much help here. You can grab a plastic piece the same size and use an industrial plastic glue and sealant and see if that will hold. Just make sure it’s the same kind of rigid plastic, nothing that likes to bend. If you still have your USDM lights they have the same kind of pegs on the corner lights.

I finally got around to try and fix it…I cut off one of the pegs from the usdm corner light and glued it using some kind of industrial glue my uncle bought from home depot. Waited til it dried…tried to reinstall…it snapped…now what? Should I snap a pic and post it up so you guys can see?

Pics would be very helpful yeah.
