One unanswered question about talights in the oven

Every thread I have read about this says to remove all metal and rubber items from them, that makes total sense… but the problem is I can’t fathom how to remove the metal screws that are used to mount the tail lights to the vehicle without breaking the tails and then how to get them back in if I was lucky enough not to break anything getting them out.

Am I missing something here?

Leave 'em in there. Just be careful that the plastic will be softer than usual, so if you push really hard on those posts you could bend them out of position.

You can use a heat gun to separate the lights too. I’ve never used an oven to open headlights or tail lights…

I’ve looked into all the posts about doing either method but a lot of folks stated that the oven method was the one less likely for accidents to happen. Also, the fact that I have never used a heatgun before that drastically increases the likelihood of damaging them.
