Has anyone put HID lights on stock headlights before? If so, hows the turn out?
I’ve asked around and some think it actually doesn’t look right.
If you got pictures of stock headlights w/ HID, post please. Thanks.

i got 8k hids on my stock headlights. ive always had it like that till i get some 1 pieces(wont be for a while lol) heres the pic its kinda hard to see cuz they so bright i like how they look at night tho… its white with a hint of blue. i can take a further away pic if you want this one was a quick shot.
Honestly I wouldn’t put HIDs in stock head lights, the glare shining on other people is blinding at night and the stock head lights make the hid light scatter everywhere. I would save the money and get some ebay one pieces and do a projector retro-fit.
just my two cents,

from experience with HIDs in the USDM headlights, i would say, “go for it.” i would recommend 4300-6000k bulbs. there is glare but is not that bad. i don’t like how people uses the phrase, “the glare blinds on-coming traffic” that nothin’ but an over-exaggerated phrase. no one is gonna look at your lights and go…“oh no, im blind!!!” the glare is simply just a DISTRACTS for on-coming traffic.
oh yeah…and output is pretty decent, NOT scattered all over the place. there’s actually real good hotspots.
here’s a picture of my 6000k HIDs in my USDM headlights
output…
headlight shots…
but in the same token…i recommend a retro-fit as well(but it depends on your resources and workmen ship abilities).
the output is wide and solid…
the camera is unable to catch it but…output goes all the way pass the second roll-up
If you get them, remember to aim them down. I have 4k’s at first when I put them in, the beam was everywhere until I just aimed them as far down as possible. The next question is, “is your DA lowered?” Other than that, I think you are just fine.
