I’m trying to get back into a groove here. Maybe I should start small. Looking for all Orlando G2s to come hang out. I’m thinking a park per the norm. I’m on the east side of Orlando so perhaps something closer to the central part would be best. If anyone is more familiar with central Orlando and knows of a good place please reply. I’ll try to market it as much as possible (including posting on lame websites like IG and FB for completeness.)

I spent a lot of time looking around on maps this morning for a park that had ample parking, so that there would be a chance we can all park together as people come in. I cannot find such a park in the center of Orlando – if there is, it would be so busy. So I think I’ll just propose a park that on the outskirts, but still near somewhat near highways so it’s easy to get to. Downtown Orlando is such a nightmare sometimes.
I’m looking at parks like this (“community centers”):

I’ll throw a feeler post out on IG and FB this week to drum up interest. Those two parks above are on the south east side of Orlando. I’ll poke around some more though depending on where you guys are located.

I had a death in my close friend circle so I’m going to have to postpone this to July. Still throw in your thoughts though. I really want to get this going.

I’m going to call the Young Pine community park this week to see about reserving one of their pavilions for 26 July.
26th was booked but I can get the 27th. I’m gonna check my home calendar first and see how that will work before I begin making arrangements.
Nevermind. The pavilion I actually wanted which is away from the main part of the park is just first-come first-served. I’ll do a driveby this weekend and see whether people usually take that thing first thing in the morning. We can shoot for like 9-10AM til whenever. It’s so freaking hot these days that morning might be better anyway.
I can also check for later on in the evening but that might mean we won’t get shade, even if the pavilion is available.

I haven’t had a chance to make it out there yet. It’s also been raining more frequently so I wouldn’t get a solid idea of what the occupancy is like.
I’m gonna try to stop out there this afternoon around 4pm.

It’s been so insufferable lately I’m thinking it just may make more sense to do this more in the Autumn. Or maybe just keep it an informal hook up once a month? Who knows. LOL It’s so quiet here

I think we’re beginning to get some cooler weather here!
I’m going to shoot for Saturday, 11 October at Young Pine community park. I’ll begin working some marketing to make it official.
