When I bought the car it did not do this to me for a year. When I drive on city street for only 15 miles or so; stop and go (stop signs and red lights) it always overheating when I step on the gas, the needle go up and when it come to a complete stop the needle drop back down to normal. Plus I think my fan is not working right now, also when signal while on rolling 30 mph it makes my temp needles jump to hot and back to normal like the rpm going up and down until I come to a complete stop the temp needle would stop. I don’t know whats causing it to do this. I mean it could be a fault electric thingy. So I need help guys.
Sounds like you have a nasty short somewhere. Tracking that down won’t be fun. I guess I would start by taking out the gauge cluster and testing continuity between the connector and the ECU or various sensors (wherever that signal originates).
If I did not have a Helms manual and I didn’t know anything about troubleshooting electrical problems, and I was blindly fishing for parts to replace, I guess the first thing I would try is a different gauge cluster.
Thanks man! I’ll try to do that.
