overheating....Searched

Alright i’ve already searched on here for this i think its just the fans but not positive. sitting at idle starts over heating driving it goes down to normal when this happend in my civic it was just the thermostadt but i replaced that today and still same problem so i vote for the fans arent working… you guys agree?

Thanks,

Clay

you can just let it run and watch for your fans to turn on… but thats up to you. in the time it took you to post this thread you would have found your answer

i did but i wasnt sure how long to wait i waited about 10-12 mins and it got warm but did start to overheat yet and fans never kicked on

fan switch. there is a way to bypass the fans to check if they work . if you bypass them and they do work its ur fan switch.

yea i think its your fans… had the same problem… at idle it starts to overheat, but when driving it starts to cool down… check to see if your fans works, might be dead… my just wasn’t plug in after the swap… but also check your coolant if u didn’t…

my sisters car has this problem 91 LS and we put in a new honda oem thermostat, new belts and flushed and bled the coolant. but the engine is a b18b so i don’t know if something isn’t plugged in right, but the fans are wired to always stay on and it still overheats sometime at idle. what could it be? :bowthank: sorry to thread jack

maybe the waterpump??

now it’ll barley get warm I guess the newthermostadt is stuck now I unno

Or something is plugging the radiator.
