i got my car painted for $1500
when he gave it to me it was dirty so i didnt see any defects…
but when i cleaned it after a week… i saw like small rocks on the paint…
and there are like big bumps on the bumper…
is it legal to bring it back to the shop and tell them to fix it?
perfectly legal, they will probly be ass’s and this will end in court. ftw
ill try to bring it back tomorrow because im leaving off island for a day…

You should complain and get it redone. It’s your money.
Yeah most reputatble paint shops have a satisfaction guarantee deal so just take it back and make them redo the messed up part…
mayb cuzz u paid 1500 for a paint job. any paintshop that does full body paint for $1500 must be hella bad. good paint is from about $4000 to $9000.

I’ve seen too many of these cases where some joe is charging shop prices for shitty paint jobs that they do in their garages or backyards!
I think, if you’re gonna pay over $300 then go see the shop or look at other jobs the painter has done. Otherwise…
i work in a shop. the body shop down the street from us charges, DEPENDING ON THE CAR and amount of body work u asses charges BETWEEN 4 and 9 k.
and i got my stock paint thank u very much u fuck. macco for 9 gs lol SIKEEE!

Very true. You can get a decent- good paint job for this price. If you want better than factory quality, expect to spend closer to 12,000. I paid 6 for my 68 javelin and Im not satisfied. My stepdad paid 15k for his 66 chevelle- not a show car.
Price doesn’t necessarily reflect the quality though. It also depends on the work you’re looking for. Those high prices are for cars that are completely restored and stripped down to the frame most likely. They’re probably sand blasted and what not. Remember, painting is the easy part for these guys, it’s all about the prep and body work that is put into the car.
