the paint along my doors and fenders looks dull, and at night it looks all smeary and stuff. i know its been in an accident and when they repainted it they did something wrong. i think its the clear coat. i just bought a buffer and wondering whats the best way to make it look nice again. IE waht should i buff it with?? what kind of waxes?? anything you guys can tell me would be great

Try the meguiar’s 3 step process: Paint cleaner, Polish, Wax. They run about $5 each. It’ll take a lot of work though cuz it’s like buffing the car 3 times. Side panels make it worse cuz of the funny angle.
What color paint ? Milano? Torino?
Before trying that 3-step process, I’d try a Mothers’ California Gold Clay Bar — this thing is amazing, and took my paint from dull, rough-feeling, and not even close to shiny, to being amazingly shiny, bright, and smooth (smooth enough to make anything slide off of the hood!!)
I should write a damn informercial for this thing… It gave me results like the infomercials promise for their products. ![]()
About $15-$20 at any decent auto store… even Wal-Mart may have it.
