I have the dark green LS-S and it has begun fading. I was curious if anyone knew of a good place to get an OEM paint job for a decent price in the bay area. Id like to go to a members shop if possible because I know they share the same passion as I for the Teg.
I have all but given up on a motor swap for early next year and feel the money would be better spent (along with keeping me out of trouble) on suspension, tranny, brakes, and paint.
It does have minor dents and dings along with the famous jack dent on the passenger side.
What kind of prices would be reasonable for removing the dents and spraying the car. I can remove the dents but if the price difference is not that much (ie: $100) Then why would I even worry about it.
If you had 5k dollars, a car that needs paint badly and a suspension even moreso, and your ambitions were the same as mine how would you delegate the monies? For example
I couldn’t find one for less than $3500 including body work. Even then, the job wasn’t done perfect. I still have to take it back to where I got it done to have them re-finish a little bit of peeling and cracking.
The owner was super nice, but was very slow to get the job done. I also kind of rushed them a bit because I did not have a second car.

Suspension is a good upgrade, but I would forget the brake upgrades unless your gonna do track stuff, and I would hold off on tranny work unless its grinding real bad.

repainting stock color is always cheaper then changing the color, thats what their pops told me. Not really sure on the price but alot of people get their work from there. So im thinking it should be a pretty good price. Their dad also charge me a pretty good price also everytime i had my car worked on. It fit my budget, and im happy with it.
lol, me and my friends have CALAVERAS meets in milpitas. we meet at quickly in milpitas square close to hot pot city. on almost every friday, we go to quickly, hang out, have fun, then h ead out to calaveras for some chill runs and not so chill runs up and down calaveras. its good fun. you san jose guys should come out. ask me for my cell # if your interested. its mainly me(DA), my 2 friends with miatas, and some other random people. not trying to steal the thread or n e thing. i jus thought that the right people would read it in this thread <DDD
