I read in a CarCraft mag about this guy who rebuilt his 69 Camaro , but before he installed his pistons he painted them with a fireproof paint and then baked them in his oven at home at like 400 or something and he said that it 40hp to his 680hp engine. I don’t know about that one ! Anybody have any input ? Is it possible ?

I think I read a similar article way back when. He probably didn’t use spray paint. There’s ceramic coatings that you can get for your pistons etc. I think it was HPC? or something. You send your stuff off and get it coated. I didn’t think they made a diy kit. Personally I wouldn’t do it. I can just imagine all these flakes coming off and screwing up everything.
