painted halfred clear taillight bulbs?

just had mine installed and looks tight. just want to know if its ok,street legal wise, to use a regular bulb for the turn signals instead of the provided orange bulbs. Orange bulbs look good too but the white blinking light looks better. Does the turn signals bulb is the same as the brakelight bulbs? Coz want to use the red bulb that came with it for turn signals. Or is there any shops that sells red bulbs? thx for any help.

has to be amber/orange, or you’ll be seeing a friendly fix-it ticket by an officer.

Brake bulbs are dual-filament. Turn signals are single filament, therefore, their not the same. BTW: you can still get a ticket for having RED bulbs in the turn signal area, can’t have RED bulbs at all, tailights has to be red lenses to be able to have red rear turn signals.

you cleared all my questions, guess need to put my amber bulb soon. But i hope we should be able to put red bulbs in there.

I have red bulbs in my turn rear turn signals, no cop has pulled me over… i’m sure i talk my way out of it if i did, cause it’s not like i’m runnin’ clears or Xenon blues.

I figure there are cars out there with red lenses for turn signals, so I can plead “ignorance” hehe…

i’m also runnin’ PIAA Ion Crystal yellow corners up front and havne’t gotten pulled over. it’s not legal, but in my experience as long as it’s not clear, they “usually” (knock on wood) don’t pull you over.
