Painted or unpainted moldings on 93 Milano Red LS???

Hi guys, new to this thread and just recently bought my first 93 Da9 LS Milano Red that is bone stock and unmolested with just 117xxx miles. I’m in love with this car. Only problem is that it has faded and chipped original paint and needs to repainted. I’m going to keep it Milano red. My main problem is that I just can’t decide whether to paint the moldings or keep it black. I’m leaning towards painting the moldings and getting a urethane lip and keeping it black. What are your guys opinions?

Currently:

Bone stock and unmolested
Sitting on my GSR Blades from my DC2

My plans::

Repaint Milano Red
Lower with Tein S techs on Koni yellows
JDM One Piece Headlights
Black urethane lip(undecided)

Just going to clean this car up real nice. I just intend to DD this baby.

Personally I like everything paint matched. And I’d recommend going w/ the thinner JDM moldings for an even cleaner look.

Thanks, yes I’ve thought about that too. Something I will have to decided on before painting.

When I get my car repainted, im going with black moldings and paint matched lip. Personally, im undecided on painting the door handles and mirrors black.

My mirrors and door handles are red.

I like the paint matched look, I have a 91 rio red and my moldings are all rio red too, really makes the car POP more.

I personally only like to RS’s with unpainted moldings and door handles and prefer all other trim models (LS, LS-S, GS, GS-R) paint matched. That’s me though. I also agree with Colin about the JDM thin side moldings; it’s such a minor change but the end product is much cleaner.

I like the stock black molding, it helps give the car a original stock look. everything else like mirrors and handles matched.

Yes, definitely get them if you’re in a position to. It’s a subtle difference but it’s much cleaner in my opinion (especially if you’re going to paint them).

I like paint match but black moldings make it look more old school

Here’s a thought that i might do… Paint whole car red. Than plastic dip the molds black. When u get tired of it just pull the plastic dip off. Wont harm the paint job. 5 bucks a can. F up just pull it off and try again.
