Well my first interior was all white and i got tired of the look. Now im doing it all red and black. I wanted to know if i can paint over pieces or should i use sand, prime and then paint over. I need to know about vinyl surfaces and plastic surfaces.
I’ve redone my interior and I had to resand most of it all the way down. I started out trying to just paint over the last color I did but when I started putting on clear coat, it all bubbled up and ate the paint away. It probably also depends on how good of a job you did with your first paint (the white). I would sand down as much as you can and take your time with the paint coats.
I dont know if this will work but u might wanna try aircraft paint remover. I tried it when i painted some stuff on my bumper and it came right off!
just make sure you don’t leave it on plastic parts too long…it melts things quickly:shock:

Well the original paint was really nicely done. It wouldn’t come off at all. So i cleaned it very good and then primed and painted over it. It came out in black really nice no bubbles no nothing. I hope it stays like that though.
