Parking brake light question. It's a new one.

So I have searched on here and found that the reason my parking brake light may be staying on because either the brake fluid level is low or the sensor near the lever is not connected. So I just got to thinking about it and right before the brake light came on, I found a loose wire coming out of the brake fluid resevoir. So, what are the 2 wires coming out of the resevoir?

The wires at the “Brake Fluid Level Switch” are…

Black - ground input
Green/red - ground output to ICU and “Brake System Indicator”, [brake warning light in cluster]

The BFLS is a simple on/off switch controlled by a float, when float is up switch is off, when float is down switch is on, supplying a ground to the BSI bulb.

Unless it was the green/red lead that was off and touching ground it is not the problem.

First place I would look is the hand brake switch, unplug the green/red lead at the switch and see if BSI stays on.:hmm:94

It was the red and green one. After unplugging it in last night, the check engine light came on. So I unplugged it, then the brake light came on. So I plugged it in and let it sit overnight. In the morning I unplugged it and both lights have been off all day.
