Passenger window searched (tried to fix)

The window has been a lil slow ever since i got the car and sometimes would not work at all then work again. I have already taken the drivers side switch apart and cleaned it did not work, checked the fuse and it is fine. the driver side side still works great. So could it be the switch on the passenger side? neither switches have any affect on the window right now.

What do you guys think it is?

Thanks,

Clay

Have you tried pushing out or in on the window when it’s moving to see if its riding hard against the tracks or pillar? Either way i believe the fix has to do with the attach bolts and the fact that they have adjuster nuts inside the door panel to adjust the tip in/out. Other than that, silicone spray the guide tracks and check the chassis ground on that side of the car under the kick panel.

There’s a write up on here that shows how to fix slow windows. It’s essentially the old grease on the tracks…you need to re-grease everything internally with new grease. Common with power windows…I’m gonna do mine as well. My passenger side is also slow after the car was sitting for a few weeks. I’ll try to find the link for you.

Found it…20 seconds…:nana:

Slow Window Fix

its not slow it wont move…but before it was slow and it would work off and on and ive and since its been stuck ive cleaned the switch and still nothing happens

i work at honda and i see this all the time the just had a recall on the new civics. what u need is a new window regulater. i also suggest u get a new run channel too. my sisters 01 civic was doing that and i help her fix it and now its koo.

got it fixed a wire was shorting out

do you recall which wire it was? i have the same problem.

the window was never slow, it just stopped working all of a sudden. its been out of commission for at least 3 years now. i’ve been too lazy to fix it.

+1 with imcnblu. I have the same problem as you do but I’m interested as to which wire. Im hoping its an easy/cheap fix than to have to get a new regulator
