I was having some idling issues, and my buddy said to place a seal over it. This is the best I could do.
At it’s worse point, the car would die when I started to press the gas. Also, it would rev from 1000 rpm to 3000 rpm while idling.
I tried researching to see what’s the worse that could happen. I don’t understand the pcv too well. Can anyone tell me the details on it and the worse that can happen by blocking the hole?

just replace the pcv valve and do a coolant flush and bleed it properly with a lisle.
small parts like that arent expensive by any means and doing jank wagon maintenance like what you have pictured causes bad habits in the future when you think things like that are ok.
just fix it properly the first time.
