pcv valve hose to oil separator can help!!!!

in the midst of changing a oil separator can on my 91teg ls b18a1 because of a broken “nipple” (cant think of the correct term) i broke off the hose to the pcv valve on the underside of the intake manifold…my question is if this hose is a special hose i need to get from honda/acura or if i can walk into Kragen oreillys and find it there…i asked the clerk at the store and he was clueless! i have since misplaced the piece of the hose i broke so any pics of what it looks like or links to where i can find the right one would help greatly…please and thankyou:bawl:

Yeah, that damn hose always breaks. There is nothing super special about it, but the one from the dealership is only $10 if you can wait.
Part number is 11855-PR3-000 for the actual Acura one.
The one from Honda for the Del Sol VTEC will be the same thing but without the fancy insulation and is like $8.
Part number is 11855-P30-000

If you click on the part number, you’ll see what the hose looks like. It is number 4: Tube A, PCV in both pictures. Incidentally, I’ve never ordered anything from Hondapartsunlmited so I don’t can’t vouch for their service.

yea i had a similar problem. my breather box got brittle and broke and was pissing oil al over my header :-/ i got replacement one from a freind with a blown block… as far as the hoses though, u can use any that fit… just do yourself a favor and make sure the pcv valve ends up at the top of the intake manifold, not under. needless to say you will eventually need to replace the pcv. so make it accessable.

thanks for the part numbers i got the hose from the dealership it ended up costing me like 25 but i got it on now …i have a new problem when i finished and started the car it started dripping oil from the seal on the can …would u happen to know the name of the seal and maybe a part number so i can purchase it? its a black round seal about an inch in diameter maybe 3/4 in

Click on that first part number above. It is a web link to a picture of that system. I think the part you want is Honda(Acura) part number 91324-PR3-003 #12 in the Acura picture?

you can buy it from the dealer or just go to the store and buy a disstributore Oring kit, it comes with like 10 different size Orings so you can pick the one you want or fits better. I replaced it with a disstributore oring and it hasnt leaked yet. the kit is like $3 and make sure you use a ring that fits tight and snug.

Oh and that box is called breather chamber.

hey santa maria is a really nice area but far from me. I bought my 91 da9 and gsr leather seats from there 2years ago and my bud just picked one up 2 weeks ago also.

< my pcv hose broke like 2 years ago.
didn’t feel like spending $25 so I grabbed a freebie hose that should fit and be long enough to go clear through the hole on the intake and touch the hood. :stuck_out_tongue:
with a Coupler/Reducer Fitting and larger piece of hose for the pcv valve to fit in i wont have to worry about this happening again.

but last time i changed my oil i couldn’t get to the old hose to pull it off.
going to try harder on the next oil change.
