hahahaha. You’re the 6th person to say that in the last 6 months.
When you bringing the 46 down here for some paint correction?

Just one of our downtown skyline that I took today.
Nice shot of the saddledome where you kicked our asses last Friday night…
Anyone?
I have one. Couldn’t tell you who makes it, and I don’t use it too terribly often. sorry.
I use tiffen and hoya filters. May not be the best, but for the money they get the job done
I have a circular polarizer but it’s a rarity when it comes out of the bag. The last time I used it though I had a killer blue sky at the wedding I was shooting.
I have a Hoya circular. It’s not a great picture, but this one was taken with it. The polarizer really helped the sky and ocean stand out.
Ive, unless it’s purely for removing strong reflection you can do a much better job yourself during PP than getting a cheap polarizer.
High quality polarizers are relatively expensive so you may wanna save that money for a good quality lens. Plus using a polarizer will make you lose light.
Thanks Babak, good point. But yes, that’s what I’d use it for mostly. I am no where near as good (or experienced) a post-processor as all you guys here or where I’d like to be which is why I rely (too often at times) on capturing the shot as best I can when it happens, sometimes at the expense of composition time. I guess this older, out-dated mentality goes back to when I used to shoot film SLR when I had no (easy) control of PP back then.
Thank you James, DA JeLLie, Regan and frozenrice also for your input. It is very much appreciated.
You should always strive to get the best result at the time of the shot. That’s what photographers always (should) try for. Photoshop & Lightroom should be used to finalize the image, not spend time becoming a digital artist and ‘fixing’ images.
One from a bridal shoot last Saturday :
Very nice, as always.

A couple from the dad’s car…
Took off work and went to Buttonwillow Raceway yesterday for the finals of the Super Lap Battle time attack series. The night before, I bribed a friend of mine with beer and paninis and he let me use his Canon 1D MkIII and 70-200 f/2.8L.
Good lord. That thing is a fucking photo machine gun. My work came out awesome and I’m sure I’ll post some in the near future.
