Also make sure you get the low voltage one. The old school vivitars use a very high voltage that can fry the circuits of your camera.
An SB600 would suffice, but if it were me, i’d invest in an SB800.

From my 9 hour photoshoot with the arena football dance team. Sometimes I just hate my life…
Took 2,378 pictures, 27.1 gb of data just in their RAW format.
I hate your life too.

And one from Wekfest this past Sunday.
Some thing i’ve been playing with for my class “Cognitive Robotics”
these things are pretty damn cool and it’s amazing what you can do with these things.
I am headed back to HI in a month, and the last 100-400 I had was returned because the loosen/tighten ring was defective. I had sent it back for an exchange, but B&H refunded my money, so now I am just looking at 2 of the sigma lenses. I am having a hard time deciding between the 120-400 or 150-500. The 400 would have the same size filter ring as a few of my other lenses, and the 500 obviously has further range and $100 more. They both have the optical image stabilization and the Hyper Sonic Motor. Right now I am leaning towards the 500 because I will be using it a lot for surfing photos, but I thought I would come here to see if anyone has good reasons to get the 400. I am starting to think the filter size doesn’t matter too much, because I won’t be using any other filter than a UV. Any opinions or previous experiences would be appreciated, thank you.
hey spring!
