i know the guy from ksport on h-t said they had issues with their seal supplier and it has since been rectified. If this is actually true or not, I don’t know. They are relatively cheap priced coilovers.
You said it!!! , And how does the saying go ? … “You get what you pay for.”
I just wanted to add to this thread that I did my first track event on the PICs. Take my opinion for what it’s worth (not much, given my lack of experience), but they were pretty comfortable for the 4 hour trip each way, and the car exhibited nice neutral handling and was very forgiving for my novice ass. My instructor was pretty pleased with the way the car handled as well. They may not be aggressive enough for everyone, but for an out-of-the-box, slap-it-on-and-go coilover, they definitely get my vote.
BTW, they were ITR expo sponsors again this year, and they gave away another set of selects as well as did a free 30 minute suspension tuning class. Top notch community involvement if that means anything to you.
/commercial out
do you have the ones with the adjustable dampening or not ?
Not. I wanted a suspension I wouldn’t have to think about so I could focus on my driving.
and if you dont mind me asking what kind of road conditions do you have where you live. are they crappy, ok, or good. been eyeing these for a while and wanted to get some feedback from someone who actually has them on their car
Whoops, I missed this one. DC has some crappy roads, and at 12k/10k, I gotta say it sucks for my aging ass. Little bumps and whatnot aren’t too bad, but you don’t have to drive far to find one of those bumps that launches you out of your seat, and if you’re not paying attention and hit one of those… well, it’s no fun. I’ll probably limit it to routes where I know the roads aren’t going to be too crappy.
If you are still lurking on here what is your opinion now that you have had a chance to break them in? Anything leaking? firmness going away?
Haven’t seen steronz on here for awhile. Maybe you want to ask this guy about his PICS G2IC - Generation 2 Integra Club - Get help, show off mods, attend meetings, buy/sell parts, all for 1990-1993 Acura Integras
Hey, I log back in after months and someone’s looking for me
The PICs softened up a bit, but there’s still not enough suspension travel to handle potholes. I don’t come anywhere close to DDing it, so I have no major complaints, but I would get something softer if it were a daily.
On track they’re outstanding, though. I had the pleasure of doing the Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point last fall… it’s a tight course with a lot of transitions and some really rough patches of pavement, and the PICs just ate it all up. Never got squirrelly on me and were extremely predictable. I love 'em. It’s been 2+ years now and they’re holding up great.
do you think you would ever be coming near the va beach area? Do you have an email addy i could hit you up on? I have more questions for my reassurance. I appreciate it.
Rob
I actually need to update my location, I just moved to Ohio. Hit me up at steronz on gmail.
oh hi there
so I got my selects in the mail today; I managed to have the time to install the fronts along with my full race traction bar, tomorrow I am going to get the rears in along with st compensator arms and see if i can get it on the alignment rack.
