Pic of my polished and repaired gsr blades

before
this is the worst curb rash on all the wheels

a closer look at the curb rash (it was very very bad)

after (4 days after, and alot of sanding/ polishing)

what grit did you use. how much sanding did it take per wheel

on all the curb rash that was bad i used 150 and gradualy made it up to 1500. regular area’s i started at 400 to end at 1500. That 1 wheel took me around 10 hours i work on them for about 3 hours a day.

nice work… i am in the process of polishing my blades as well. there is once spot that has rash a little worse but most of the rims come pretty clean after spraying with that aircraft stripper. i actually have taken a dremel to the lip of each rim to get all the rash off and then proceeded to sand. works quicker. what polish are you using?

i am useing mothers mag and aluminm, its the best i try mostly all the others, they take way to long to bring out the shine. I only finished that one wheel. I didn’t use aircraft stripper because i was worried about stripping off the silver paint around the groves. Are polishing the whole wheel?

:up:nice:up:

i am not polishing the whole wheel just the face. how do you get such clean lines for the inner spokes? i have a can of duplicolor gunmetal that i wanted to paint the inside with. oh, and i’m also using mother mag polish. good stuff

i used a soft sanding block (just like the one for wet sanding, it makes the lines very straight and clean, just alot of work cus i dont use the stripper

GSR blades

I want to see a set of clean blades on a nice DA teg i dont think i have ever seen it pos pics please

damn thats a lot of sanding!:werd:

Nice job. You should take it up to 2000 grit if you want that extra ummph.
