Pissed at my New 1/4 mile Times

k this is how it goes…
right now i am runnning i/h/e and a stage 3 clutchmaster clutch

before tonight i had i/h/e but my clutch slipped pretty much every gear and my 1/4 mile time was 16.1 @ 85 mph

then i put my clutch in and tonight i ran a 16.7 @ 82 mph

it feels like my car is revving slower and accelerating slower too

anyone know why i could run a worse time with a new clutch?

anyone else have this same problem?

PS i did break it in properly

what were your 60’ times?

if this is only the second time you’ve tracked your car there are plenty of variables with your driving consistency to think of. Not to mention the condition of the track and the temperature and humidity at the time. My advice is dont worry too much about it. In the 3 times I’ve run my car the best I coud muster is a 16.2

i ran my car at the track for the first time about a month ago and my best time was a 16.1 with a .51 best reaction time and i don’t remember the 60 ft. off the top of my head. Some people on here said that was slow as hell and all i have is cheap azz i/h/e on a 93 b18a motor and 17 inch wheels.

Thats weird man. All I had was Intake/Exhaust/Clutchmaster Stage 3 Clutch and Aluminum Flywheel/ Removed AC and Power Steering/ Weight Reduction and I musterd a a 15.31 at 90 MPH. My 60 ft. time was 2.2x and Rt. .67
