I recently redid the suspension and the front axle came out so had to disasemble the entire driver side brakes, axle, a arms, and turn buckle. Finally got it all together and it drives great but when i make full right turns going like 4 mph it feels like theres something bumping or hitting(only when i turn right) then when i go around a corner at 25ish its just an Extremely loud screech(sounds like brake pads have no meat left and are hitting rotor, but just replaced brakes 2 months ago and does not screech when braking) im going to take it apart this weekend to look. But i would like some opinions.
Thank you
I’m not really sure about the bumping or hitting but the screech could be the metal dust shield behind the rotor. I had that issue one time where it got a little bent from when I was working on my suspension and the rotor was rubbing on it a tiny bit and it made a screech like my pads were worn out. All I had to do was bend the shield back a tiny bit and it was all good.
I second on the bent dust shield as well. Happened to me before when working on my brakes. Take off the tire and bend it back…
i third this as it has happened to me too lol
I have worked in a shop for 10 years and have seen it I don’t know how many times. Check your dust shield. Fix it if it is rubbing. I have had customers come right back for the same problem!
