Hey i have a really annoying oil leak–oil slowly drips down the side of my engine—I have a round, black, plastic circle below the left side of my valve cover. This is like some sort of plug—i can use my finger nail and pry it out a little bit-and oil slowly leaks out…is this a cam seal or frease plug or soemthing? Where can i find a new one? or are there any other ways to get it to stop leaking…thanks in advance for any info…
Yup,
Sounds like the cam seals. Most people recommend STR Cam seals as replacement.

Sounds like the CAM END SEAT i would recomend getting a STR one i belive summit racing has them they are easy to replace you might want to think about a new Valve Cover seal as well and i would get that from the dealer oh and the cam seal is also colored so u can have Blue or what ever as well just a littel Flare for the engine
do i have to take off the valve cover to replace the cam end seal??? because i have a brand new valve cover gasket…i really don’t wanna have to take off the cover agian…thanks…
Mine does the same thing guess i’ll be stopping by summit again.

Yes you have to take off the valve cover and the cam holder that holds that seal on.
I suggest you get a helms manual before you do it so you have a good idea of how to do it and use the board for reference where the manual doesnt help you.
You can also use the 96+ GSR cam end seal. It is black plastic like the one you have in there now but they are MUCH higher quality. You also dont have to hondabond the 96+ one like you do for the stock one…
As always, the most important thing to remember is TORQUE EVERYTHING TO SPEC!!!
