please tell me some of you had a similar trouble

i was driving on saturday night and came to a light when all of a sudden my car idles low like it wanted to shut off, i gave it gas and it made a noise like it was missing for a coule minutes.I tried to drive by hitting the gas and it drove slow making the missing noise. All of a sudden it drove normal again an dhaven’t had the problem since.his also happened about 2 weeks ago as well.It wasn’t raining, it wasn’t cold out or anything.Anyone know what the problem could be?any help is appreciated

simple causes to check would always be the quality of the gas your are using (ie try another brand) and of course the fuel filter.

A few things maybe…

I would buy some fuel system cleaner, especially fuel injector cleaner. Also check to make sure that your fuel pump is working correctly. I have problems sometimes when I’m low on gas and I am going uphill.

i was using sunoco ultra 94 gas and i recently had my fuel filter changed as well.I changed my plugs and wires about8 months ago(ngk platinum plugs and ngk wires) I have never changed my o2 sensor or pcv valve just to give more information.why would it make a noise likes its missing?Anymore help is appreciated

would checking for a ecu code help at all? Do the codes from the ecu really help pinpointing a problem

have you checked the fuel filter? how many miles on the car? psycho6 had a good point…you could try fuel injector cleaner.

A chilton’s and/or haynes manual will have the testing/replacement procedure for both the fuel filter and pump…i recommend owning both manuals.

I have the same problem. The idle problem is a leak in the abs. The shaking is the brakes going nuts. I think I’m gonna take it out.

if im low in gas and turn a corner fast the car jumps around like its misfiring.

Same here…

Replacing the plugs, wires, and fuel filter fixed it for me.

YES! not always 100% accurate but tells you where to start.

also check your igniter and ignition coil, theyre probably on their way out. and soemtimes its not necessarily the injectors, but the main fuel relay as always

Having a similar problem… I tried disconnecting the O2 sensor and the problem is now cured. but this not means it’s the O2 sensor since when a sensor is unplugged, the ECU uses default values for all sensors… Mine did it mostly just when the operating temp was reached, and only once each time I drove my car… I’m thinking it’s the ECT(engine coolant temperature) sensor since it seems to be related to the temp.

HTH!
