pondering my cars ability

Aight within the last month i purchased my 93 LS for 5g’s. And my buddy who has a 00 Civic Si wants to take me to the track and see if he can beat me. Im wondering if with the mods i have that were on the car when i bought it would be enough power to take his Si. And a brief explanation on what i have. Rebuilt LS 6months ago, DC header thermal wrapped…full exhaust reworked to take all the bends out and no CAT, new cam gears(for some reason the type of gears is excapeing my mind, SRT or STR something like that.) AEM cai, the timeing of the car has been retarded for the Nitrous set up, but i havent had the balls to use yet, he wants to go all motor so no bottle for me anyways. So what do you think, i have a pretty good idea that his car is gonna be able to whipe the floor with me. As far as i know his Si is stock, but hes been gone for college all year and he hasnt mentioned anything.

I once went head on with a '00 SI (here in CAnada, they are SIR’s). Let’s just say that we stayed exactly beside each other until about 190km’s… we couldn’t get away from each other hehe

But my car was COMPLETELY stock…

So I think you’d smoke him.

oh… and mine is a 91… so you have 10 more horses than i do… think about it… you’d smokkkkkkkeeeeeeeeee him hehehehe

The Street Ricer forum is gone. Take this either to Legal Competition or to another website. :wrong: :jerkoff:

if you read this isnt a kill story or a story in general of someone being at the track. and i do recall the General Discussion board is for ANYTHING related to G2 that isnt covered in other boards. I felt this is where it needed to be so i posted here.

If you are not using nitrous, I would advance the timing +2 from stock. You should get the jump off the line based on the torque of the LS. (as long as you are a good driver) If your engine is in good condition it will be a good race.

1/8th or 1/4 track? If its a 1/8th then you should have no problem. Give him the full 1/4 and he’ll be able to use that 160hp to catch you at the end.
