I know VWs and EF Civics had pop out 1/4 panel windows. I also think the newer BMW coupes have them but in power.
Anyone ever see this on a G2? I don’t know why but I’d love to have em.
Attached a picture for those who don’t know.

I do not see any way it would be possible seeing how our windows roll down
^^>>. LOL hes refering to the rear windows for the coupe
thats a pretty good idea to
i think that would b a really kool mod and if its possible id love to kno how its done cause im soooo down …i work at a chrysler dealer im going to try and get the mechanism that the caravans have on the rear windows and c what i can do with that or the ones off the town n country (there electric)
Want to hook me up with the motors?
I found a local shop that will do the conversion but I have to provide the motor.
LOL…Yes, just yesterday after coming from work a saw a teg on the highway…n i was like wtf is wrong wit his window then i got closer n noticed…but imo i hate that minivan lookin window…plus r’nt they easier to break into???
Maybe but that’s why there are alarms and other security measures.
ill try n get some motors and pop out clips and wtv else is needed if i can get ill hook it up if i get it free itll b free+shipping thats all but well c what i can do if u foundd a shop whatll they charge u and what kinda job is it is it easy or what
tell that to the ppl that have had their cars stolen that have car alarms and other security measures. i’m sure it would feel pretty cool knowing u’re modded ride was stolen, and that the window u customized on there helped in the process.
Awesome, thanks man.
I called around to a few shops locally and finally found a place called, TM Custom Auto Trim And Glass. They were actually very nice and more then willing to do the conversion for me (which more then I could say about some of the other shops I talked to). They’ve got a kit to do it but it’s not power, however he said to come by with the car and the motors and they’ll have a look at it. He said I’d likely be looking at $200ish a side. Pricey but it would look factory which is a plus.
An alarm is only as good as it’s install. If it’s just a mess of wires under the dash then it’s fairly easy to by pass. However if it’s done correctly, hidden and you can’t tell if an alarm wire from a factory wire then it’s that much harder.
so i checked around at work today we got nothing laying around i can take but i found a few local junk yards with some caravans and town n countrys i can go grab the motors off of i say check ur area aswell im sure ull find something anywayz im gona go check it out and see if its worth buying from the junk yard if so ull hear about it soon…and its so not worth it from my parts department to buy the motors new i dont even remember the price but its stupid even with the discount
Yea I’ll do that next time I get a chance.
Wanted to do it tomorrow but my car is in the shop.
shitty:(
where in ontario are u?
im in montreal…well just outside it in vaudreuil-dorion 35 mins from the ontario/quebec border
If you decided to do a non-electric type setup I would look at the hardware for the pop-out windows on a 90-93 Accord coupe. That way you’d be using OEM Honda instead of some strange domestic parts… A friend of mine has always talked about how neat it would be if our windows did this. Definitely post pics if you get it done!

I’m in Toronto.
yo the accord idea is sick im looking into thiss
just a fair warning, I’ve used to have a 93 ex coupe and it dosen’t take much to pull that window right out! However it would be sick on a G2.
Yea, I’m hoping the motors will make it harder.
Would Sedan door panels fit in a coupe? Then I could have the switches for the rear windows on the doors panels, all factory-ish.
no i dont think itll fit at alll but i can just take the switch and custom fit it into ur rear panels itll look oem if done right
thats what im doing
illl try and get pics upp soon as i get some progress
