where do I get one? looks like a high cap 1911 mag
yuck
That is actually a 22 round drum magazine for a Bersa Thunder 380. They don’t make many drum mags for handguns. It is going on this.
After some research i found that pro mag makes a 45 round drum magazine for 1911s. i’m ordering one today.
Just swooped one of these up:
Shoot photos, not guns.
HAHA, I’m kidding. Shoot both.
Before you buy it do some research on it. Alot of people say they don’t work and jam alot.
call me a hipster.
riding fixed improves pedal technique, strength, and it just looks nice. cant beat it-350 for a complete bike. i need a beater, the specialized is too expensive anyway.
It came today!!! And it looks very intimidating.
Intimidating? I dunno… looks like your gun has balls. haha
Definitely not intimidating, but very functional.

ooh i might get one of those too. i currently have the 50mm f1:1.8II but i need something with a little wider angle, i have my 18-55 kit lens but this is higher quality glass am i right?
I was going to buy the 50mm f1.8 because it was so cheap until I stopped to think about the 1.6x sensor crop factor on my camera. The 50mm acts kike an 88mm after you factor this in, and I wasn’t looking for that.
From what I hear, the 28mm f2.8 is a great lens for crop body cameras (like my XSi) to get to that length near 50mm. The 28mm on my camera will be like having a ~45mm lens, which is perfect, especially with the wide angle. It’s supposed to produce some pretty good images.
I’m waiting for mine to arrive in the mail.

actually my parents bought it. But i made them aware of the deal
if you are in the market for a macbook pro, you can get a RIDICULOUS deal on the last generation high end 15" at UCLA or UCI. If you know anyone that goes there have them hook you up with it.
for $1.2k you get:
15.4 widescreen
2.5GHz C2D
2GB RAM
250GB HD
512MB 8600 GT
and apple’s famous OS and customer service.
keep in mind just a few months ago this computer was selling at the Apple Store for 2.5k
my dad was about to buy a IBM Thinkpad w/ the around the same specs (@ $1,070), but lenovo has gone downhill since they purchased IBM’s thinkpad devision, in terms of quality and CS. for less than 200 more i think going Mac is better.[/QUOTE]
do you know if this special is still going on? i have a friend that is interested in getting one of those things…
typically if it doesn’t say USM or have a red ring, the glass could be better. But that doesn’t mean it doesnt take good pictures. Like your 50mm is cheap but also quite sharp for the money. aside from glass you also have more or less aperture blades, resulting in a “smoother” bokeh, but no one really notices unless you look for it. i have the 50mm and its a darn great value if i say so myself. ~80mm and wide aperture puts it at a good portrait lens (the 85mm L on a 5D is a very good wedding shoot lens) sounds like a dog compared to the USM in my L though.
gil, as far as i know the deal is still on. My manager says UCLA has hundreds of these things, so it’ll be in stock for a while. UCI however, only has ~40 before the deal started. UCI now has the same price as UCLA but still requires applecare purchase (which everyone should buy anyway when getting a laptop). But you have to be a student at UCLA or UCI (respectively) to take advantage of it. recently graduated students may still be eligible, but you will have to fax in a “eligibility” form. There was a small hassle when my dad and i went to pick it up at UCLA (my alumni sister is in Harvard) cause they lost the fax my sister sent. Such is the trouble with these places operated by students.
