I definately will not be shooting blanks haha.

gil, as far as i know the deal is still on. My manager says UCLA has hundreds of these things, so it’ll be in stock for a while. UCI however, only has ~40 before the deal started. UCI now has the same price as UCLA but still requires applecare purchase (which everyone should buy anyway when getting a laptop). But you have to be a student at UCLA or UCI (respectively) to take advantage of it. recently graduated students may still be eligible, but you will have to fax in a “eligibility” form. There was a small hassle when my dad and i went to pick it up at UCLA (my alumni sister is in Harvard) cause they lost the fax my sister sent. Such is the trouble with these places operated by students.
damn, i totally forgot about the student thing… i don’t think she knows anyone from there

I spend way too much money on bikes… Those are #3 and #4.
What else do you have? I used to BMX pretty avidly, but stopped when I went away to college.
Delicious! Goes perfectly with our race car
New logo will be similar to the black cans
call me a hipster.
riding fixed improves pedal technique, strength, and it just looks nice. cant beat it-350 for a complete bike. i need a beater, the specialized is too expensive anyway.
They are very decent bikes for the price. I got a little over a year ago, that was before they came w/ the threadless headset.
I would highly recommend changing the clips, straps and pedals very quickly. The stock ones suck. I also had VERY bad luck with those tires. Seat also sucks, but if you’re gonna keep it for awhile I’d at least spray paint the silver portion black so it doesn’t look so dumb.
I’m finally thinking I should get a front brake for mine, I’ll be able to ride a lot faster with that added safety. I’ve also really been thinking about buying or building more of a cyclocross styled bike. I’d keep it fixed or at least singlespeed, but it’d be nice to have something with larger tires, something I could really mob around on.

How well do you think this would work for concealed carry?

yea lol i’ve been reading up on the shizzy tires and teh crap pedals. i’ve already got a set of clip/straps that came on my specialized that i use for commuting atm. I will replace those with some look clipless off of my old bike and move the clips to the kilo. i’ve got a new tire already that i’ll put on the rear for the mean time. I’m thinkin of getting an 17 or 18T cog and a rear wheel a flip flop fixed/fixed hub. Kilo will be the new commuter and the specialized will be reserved for long weekend rides/races. I’ve got a spare set of brakes lying from my specialized too that i’ll throw on.
i might just replace the seat too but this is my beater bike so i can’t really spend too much money on it.
got the tracking # today and eagerly looking to build it up. Glad to hear you like yours!

If you’re going to transfer clips/straps you’ll need to transfer the pedals themselves as well. For some reason the pedals on the Kilo use a different way of mounting the clips. Standard clips will not bolt to the Kilo pedals (unless they have changed the pedals since I got mine).
The stock hub is already flip/flop, all you need is another cog and lockring I’ve kept the stock 16t cog but my brother changed to an 18 (he’s got a Windsor) and likes that a lot. I think he has a 15t on it now (bought that for a velodrome day at Encino and never bothered to take it offf).
What size is yours? I originally got a 50cm and it was a bit small I ended up trading it straight across for a 53 and that fits me perfect. If you’re not used to track bikes get used to a bit of toe overlap…
oh yea i meant i was going to transfer the pedals/clips to the kilo and put the look clipless pedals onto the spec instead. my bad, brain’s tired from finals week. i’ve seen a windsor at school and it looked pretty nice. the pedals have a very small platform though so i can see why they’re not great.
i got a 53cm (w/ 56cm top tube), reading that they’re a bit on the larger side (i’m 5’11" w/ 33-34" inseam). My specialized is a 56cm frame. I was contemplating on the 55cm which BD started selling recently, but its top tube is 58cm according to their website and that’s a little too race for me.
as for toe overlap, i’m familiar with it after riding my uncle’s old Merckx road frame that was probably 10cm too small. i’m a good 6" taller than everyone else in my family. it wont bother me unless i’m trying to do trackstands (at least it did on the merckx, but now that i can pedal backwards…)
This is an open carry state. I would rather carry it like that j/k.
I’d LMAO if I saw that.
I like the idea of the convenience of it for the range, but I think it would affect the recoil and way you hold it due to the weight, which means your practice will not be equal to using it in a SHTF situation.

Not true, I used it today and it doesn’t add alot of weight to the gun. It actually feels better because my 380 is kinda small. This gun doesn’t have much recoil to begin with. This is great for home defense and I plan to keep it loaded with RBCD rounds.

How do you like it? I’ve heard things about it’s reliability well at least for the 07-08 version.
I’m kind of surprised they’re so many gun carrying, beer guzzling teg drivers :getsome:

Is that the one you got? I bought the 6x8 Intuos3 and the pen set a couple of months ago.
Yeah, it’s the Bamboo. I’d like the Intuos, but I’ve already spent so much on Christmas.
There is a discussion going on on SF about it, but you wouldn’t know since you never read YOUR OWN WEBSITE!!! :giggle:
Only “real” difference between the bamboo and intuos really is just the levels of pressure… If you’re not doing much brushwork you’ll be happy with it… Only crappy thing about going tablet is A) You have to re-learn it all over again and B) you’ll never be able to go back to a mouse…
I love it and so far no problems knock on wood. I have 2007 my friend has a 2008. I got to borrow it for a good amount of time before i bought it. While i was at it, had affairs with honda and yamaha 600’s. Surprisingly i like the R-6S better than the R-6: it’s light, quiet, and has a smooth pickup off the line…i just hate that huge canister exhaust. Hondas were aite but kinda pricey and i never really noticed their weight advantage.
I liked the looks, fit, and features of the kawasaki so it was a keeper for me. The gear indicator is nice.
Over the weekend i went to the longbeach convention tried me the zx14 now i am feeling the 1000 bug

got this for the parentals. stayed on long enough with the Linksys firmware (1-2 minutes) to get DD-WRT uploaded/installed. much easier than the two foneras i DDWRTed.
i love this router.
i didn’t even want it, but it was close by, i was starving, and i had just finished a 5 hour stretch of christmas shopping. i did NOT feel like cooking. i wish i had opted for a salad from wendy’s or something though, the mac made me feel like shit.
