hahahah you asked

cool keep it coming

dc header, highflow cat, unknown catback. sorta looks like a thermal. but i’ve never seen a pic of the g2 version of a thermal so i cant really say.

Just cat back right now. 60mm RS*R GTII Concept cat-back. No sounds clips as of right now due to the fact I am in texas for another month and my car is back in seattle in a storage unit. No resonator inline after the cat.

shit that thing must get molested by the roads.

japanjay - there was no way to mount the pipe higher? That shit looks like it’s going to rub like a mofo… nice canister and back end though… how’s the sound?

It looks like it hangs low, which it does, but when you get it up on a lift and look at it closer, the gapping from the pipe to the fuel tank is only an inch at most, maybe only a half inch. If you look closely at the 3rd pic you can kinda tell it hugs the tank closely. Also another good thing about this rs*r cat back is the way it connects together.

Look at the 3rd pic right above the newport pack and see if you can see how it connects. It doesnt bolt together, it slips together and is held by 4 PITA to get on springs, which took me and someone else pulling with everything we had to get them to slide in the holes. That way if it gets snagged on something bad enough it comes apart instead of stressing the rest of the exhuast. I have only rubbed very lightly on a few speed bumps which I try to avoid all together, and a couple parking entrances. At highway speeds even the worst bump/jump the type2’s soak it so much when it comes back down that it never scrapes. I wish I could post a sound clip.

I fukin love the way this cat-back sounds. When you blip the throttle to say about 4grand as the rpms decrease it kinda makes the gurgle sound like the sti’s do. Almost dead quiet at idle, and not one bit of raspiness at WOT. All my buddies that drive evos and sti’s always comment on how good the exhuast sounds riding around town.

By no means is it quiet when bangin through the gears or down shifting coming up on a light or turn. To me it sounds like what an import should sound like. I dont understand why someone goes through all the trouble to lower then get rims and lip kits, racing seats with harnesses, guages, knowing that their car looks far from stock, and then buys a stock looking and sounding exhuast, except for the cali people because they get fukin harrassed just for having a completly stock import. Other then that I dont really understand the concept behind it.

Oh, and that is a complete cat-back from rs*r, not just a canister with muffler shop piping and welds. It is designed to eliminate as many bends as possible. It is stainless from the cat to the end. Comes with a little extension that bolts to the cat then to the cat-back for the 92-93 tegs, which I didnt need, and also a new stainless hanger that screws into to the frame in a hole that is already there from the factory and also with a poly bushing to connect the new hanger on the frame to the hanger on the can, since it no longer follows the factory routing.

bosal brospeed. sounds good and it came wiht the car

HKS ftw:up:

HKS is a good exhust too, but there is something, I think it is how long the tip is after the can that I dont like about it. But they do sound nice, from the ones that I have heard.

thats what i have on my sti

got a pic of just the ass with the hks and a sound clip

Bro u exhaust is sick n all but don’t u ever have issues with that going under ur gas tank like that. I kno u talked bout it, but 4 ur own safety u should wrap that with heat wrap

I don’t have a sound clip, but here is a pic of just the ass:

Edit: Found a sound clip.

that is so sick :wtf: i want it

Not worried about it. RSR is reputable enough IMO and I am sure in 99% of everyone else also, so if they felt that it should be wrapped before installing, they wold not have designed it that way in the first place, or would have put that detail in some type of warning in the discription. I highly doubt that RSR would produce something like this knowing there could be a chance of it exploding, since it can be purchased by the general public.

Thanks for liking it. I love it. I dont think they are making them anymore either from what I heard, so if you really like it you might want to pick it up while some places still have some left on the shelf.

Here is a picture of on the ground from another website that doesnt carry it anymore. It is the exact one for the DA. Here is the pic and desription:
