Post your sound system set ups

I just wanna see what you guys have in your trunks.

Mine doesn’t look all that but it puts out crisp sound.

trunk

Amp attached to boombox

8 gauge pwr and ground (monster cable)

Revolving kenwood face and second CD player.

wow rockford and crisp in the same sentence, lol

My old setup, no need for a big stereo in the new teg as its main purpose is track duty, with week end cruising coming in a close second:D

anymore?

My buddy was just asking me about seting his sub up just like that in his BMW. Do you have the wood that covers the spare tire sealed or is it still functional? If it’s still functional I would think that it sounds like ass because it’t not sealed but you never know.

a few pics of past setups

Not in my car but here’s what I have (minus two door speakers)

it was sealed but it if I did it all over again I would of actually made a enclosed box undernieth the cover.

overall I was quite please with it one i stuck a couple of braces undernieth the wood to keep it from vibrating.

This is just my amps in there rack

^Are those tucked down into the spare tire area? I don’t remember you having subs in your trunk, just that sick reinforcement bar.

Luciferi’s setup is showing it’s old school status, PS1 and a VCR.

No they are on top of it an the strut bar goes across the top I still need to get my box made tho

dont got any pics but im using 1 JL audio 10W6V2, Alpine MRP-650 amp, Infinity Reference 6x9, and a Alpine CDA-9811 deck

this is a monster cable had 0 guage when i bought it running all the way to the back and for me its only powering a 1200 watt amp and a 10" sub

I don’t have any pics, but i managed to put together a nice little system for like next to nothing. I used the the bottom of the line alpine that stiil has ipod control with the new alpine type r 5 1/4’s with a component tweet up front. I found an old 25 x 4 fosgate amp from like 1999 or 2000 and ran all mids and highs off one side and a dual voice coil fosgate p2 10" mono’d and paralleled off the other side and believe it or not it sounds really pretty good. It has no fader, obviously, hence the tweets needed up front. I couldn’t believe how it turned out. The newer fosgate subs require like no air space so the box looks like an overgrown shoe box or a box for boots. It’s actually going in a local comp in the under 300 watt class. My buddy from high school owns the best local stereo shop here in my town and he can’t get over it either.

And a cd changer modified to play cd videos. 2 cds for one movie.

Bump for more set ups
