I just got my valve cover back and wanted to show it off…LOL!
Debating on whether to polish the Honda “H” or leave it black?
No performance here…just looks good!

Looks really good. I would polish the H though. Just me.
Me too.
Me three…
That’s what I am thinking too…Time to bust out my trusty Dremmel!
If I were you, I’d use a sanding block.
Turned out really nice!
Sanding block because a dremmel might not be even?
correct. i used a dremel on an old vc about 4 years ago, and the lettering etc. had high low spots that looked hideous. as long as you’re careful, the sanding block will work great.
start with a rougher grit, like 300grit, to get most of the coating off. then gradually sand with finer grits to get rid of sand marks on the bare metal. eventually, it’ll look borderline polished.
works like a charm, and is easy as hell.
Nice. Thanks for the advice.
I’d sent it to a machine shop and have them machine the face down and make it look nice and factory.
